PROGRAM. OKAY. I TURNED IT ON. TABLE LEFT. SO. THANKS. TO. TIME TABLE. RIGHT? RIGHT. OKAY.OKAY. THAT'S MY FAULT. THERE WE GO. OKAY, HERE WE GO. GOOD EVENING. I AM LAUREN WESLOWSKI, THE OPEN SPACE AND STEWARDSHIP DIRECTOR FOR THE TOWNSHIP. THIS IS JAMIE MCQUAID. HE IS THE CHAIR OF THE WILDLIFE COMMITTEE. WE'RE GOING TO GIVE A BRIEF OVERVIEW TONIGHT OF THE DEER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM AND THE RESULTS OF OUR RECENT DEER POPULATION STUDY. SO JUST SOME BACKGROUND FOR EVERYONE WHO'S NOT FAMILIAR WITH OUR DEER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM AND THE DEER MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN GENERAL. WE MANAGE THE DEER POPULATION IN THE TOWNSHIP FOR THE THREE MAIN REASONS OUTLINED ON THE SLIDE THERE. THE FIRST ONE BEING PUBLIC HEALTH. WE HAVE A LOT OF INSTANCES OF TICK BORNE DISEASES. WE HAVE OVER 580 CASES OF LYME DISEASE IN MONTGOMERY SINCE 2010, AND SOME OTHER DISEASES THAT ARE LISTED THERE THAT I WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO PRONOUNCE. AND THEY ARE LESS PREVALENT, BUT STILL HAPPENING IN TICK BORNE. PUBLIC SAFETY IS ANOTHER HUGE ASPECT OF WHY WE MANAGE THE DEER POPULATION. MOST PEOPLE, IF YOU'VE LIVED IN THIS AREA OF THE STATE LONG ENOUGH, HAVE UNFORTUNATELY HAD SOME SORT OF CONTACT WITH YOUR CAR AND A DEER. WE HAD TWO FATALITIES IN THE TOWNSHIP IN 2014 THAT WERE RELATED TO DEER VEHICLE COLLISIONS, AND WE ALSO MANAGE THE DEER POPULATION TO HELP PROTECT OUR FORESTS. THE DEER LIKE TO BROWSE ALL THOSE TASTY SMALL PLANTS THAT THEY CAN EASILY REACH, AND THEY RUB THE BARK OFF OF THE TREES. AND THAT MEANS THERE'S NO NEW GENERATION OF TREES IN OUR FORESTS. THEY, OF COURSE, PREFER THE NATIVE PLANTS AND ALLOWS FOR ALL THE INVASIVES IN THE PAST THAT WE DON'T WANT TO KEEP PROLIFERATING. THE WILDLIFE COMMITTEE WAS FORMED IN 1992 AS THE HUNTING COMMITTEE. WE'RE NOW KNOWN AS THE WILDLIFE COMMITTEE. IT'S AN AD HOC COMMITTEE WITH MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE MAYOR. THERE ARE LIAISONS ON THE COMMITTEE FROM THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE. MIKE MARTIN IS OUR LIAISON FOR THIS YEAR. THE OPEN SPACE COMMITTEE, THE AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE. AND WE ALSO HAVE A LIAISON FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. WE MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE TO CONTROL THE DEER POPULATION IN THE TOWNSHIP. WE TRACK THE DEER HARVEST REPORTING EVERY YEAR. WE REVIEW THE ANNUAL SURVEYS THAT ARE SUBMITTED FROM THE HUNTERS WITH THEIR COMMENTS, WHICH CAN BE, YOU KNOW, PROPERTY FOCUSED, WHERE THEY'RE HAVING ISSUES ON A PARTICULAR PROPERTY, OR THEY CAN BE LIKE A HOLISTIC KIND OF COMMENT ABOUT OUR PROGRAM. AND THEN THE WILDLIFE COMMITTEE WORKS WITH ME TO REVIEW ANY NEW PROPERTIES THAT WE ACQUIRE AS OPEN SPACE TO DECIDE IF THEY'RE SUITABLE TO ADD TO OUR HUNTING PROGRAM. ALL RIGHT. SO MY NAME IS JAMIE MCQUADE. I'M THE CHAIR.
IS THAT TOO LOUD? OF THE I JUST WANTED TO GO OVER THE HUNTING SPECIFIC THINGS THAT IN SOME OF THE STATISTICS WE HAVE FROM, FROM THE LAST COUPLE YEARS. SO EVERY YEAR WE HOLD AN ANNUAL SAFETY ORIENTATION. WE DID THAT A COUPLE WEEKS AGO IN THIS VERY ROOM. WE HAD THE NEW JERSEY DEP HERE, WE HAD THE POLICE, WILDLIFE COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND STAFF. LAUREN WAS HERE, LISA WAS HERE. AND WE GO OVER ALL THE THINGS THAT ARE EXPECTED OF THE HUNTERS WHILE THEY'RE IN, WHILE THEY'RE HUNTING, EACH HUNTER HAS TO PROVIDE PROOF OF THEIR OWN $1 MILLION INSURANCE, PROPERTY OR POLICY SO THAT WE DON'T. THEY ARE COVERED. SHOULD SOMETHING HAPPEN. WE HAVE AN

ANNUAL BACKGROUND CHECK, WHICH WE GO THROUGH, AND WE CHECK ALL ALL THE HUNTERS TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE, THEY'RE THEY'RE WORTHY OF BEING IN THE PROGRAM. AND WE ALSO HAVE A CALL IN NUMBER PRIOR TO HUNTING. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT'S BEEN THERE SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THE PROGRAM. ANYTIME WE GO IN THE WOODS TO HUNT, BEFORE WE GO, WE CALL INTO A NUMBER. IF THERE'S AN ISSUE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THE POLICE KNOW TO LOOK ON THAT DURING HUNTING SEASON TO SEE IF IF WE'RE HUNTING AND WE WILL IDENTIFY WHERE WE'RE GOING SO THAT THEY'RE AWARE OF THAT TO TO DATE SOMETHING THAT WE'RE PROUD OF. BUT I AM GOING TO KNOCK ON WHETHER THIS WOULD OR NOT. THERE HAVE BEEN ZERO INCIDENTS OR ACCIDENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROGRAM. SO I THINK THAT'S A GOOD THING, AS THE PROGRAM HAS, I'M GOING TO SAY, MATURED. WE'VE HAD A LOT OF DIFFERENT WAYS AND DIFFERENT REQUIREMENTS THAT WE ASK THE HUNTERS TO DO THAT ARE NOT INTUITIVE TO THE THE HUNTING INDUSTRY. SO WE ASK THEM TO BE TIED OFF, WEAR HARNESSES, ALL THESE THINGS FROM THE TIME THEY STEP FOOT OFF OF THE OFF OF THE GROUND, AND WE REQUIRE THEM TO BE IN TREE STANDS SO THAT THEY'RE SHOOTING SAFELY DOWN INTO THE GROUND. SO WE'VE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN TERMS OF INCIDENTS AND ACCIDENTS AT THIS POINT, AS I THINK EVERYBODY HERE IS AWARE, THERE'S A HIGH DEER DENSITY IN NORTHERN NEW JERSEY. THESE ARE SOME OF THE ISSUES THAT THAT WE FACE AS AS A TOWNSHIP IN TERMS OF DEER POPULATIONS. SO THERE'S A HIGHER DEER DENSITY IN NORTHERN NEW JERSEY THAN IN ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE STATE. DEVELOPMENT IS IS ALSO AN ISSUE, AS YOU KNOW, AS THINGS BECOME MORE DEVELOPED, THE DEER DON'T GO AWAY. THERE'S LESS PLACES FOR THEM TO LIVE, BUT THERE'S MORE OF AN INTERACTION WITH THE PEOPLE. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT YOU MIGHT NOT THINK WE HAVE AN AGING HUNTER POPULATION, AND HUNTER RECRUITMENT IS A BIG PROBLEM, AND THAT'S REALLY A HUNTING ISSUE. BUT IF YOU TOOK ALL THE LICENSE HOLDERS IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, YOU COULD YOU WOULDN'T FILL OUT OR SELL OUT GIANT STADIUM, PUT TAYLOR SWIFT THERE. YOU'RE GOING TO SELL IT OUT FOR THREE NIGHTS.SO IF YOU THINK ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT ARE ACTUALLY DOING THIS IN THE STATE, IT'S GETTING LOWER. AND IT'S IT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE ARE BROUGHT UP DOING ANYMORE. IT'S IT'S VERY DIFFERENT. SO HUNTER RECRUITMENT IS IS ALSO IS OFTEN DIFFICULT TO TO KEEP PEOPLE ENGAGED. WE DO HAVE I THINK THIS YEAR TWO YOUNG ADULTS I'LL CALL THEM IN THE PROGRAM WHICH IS GOOD. AND YOU KNOW WE'RE TRYING TO ENCOURAGE OTHER PEOPLE TO BRING THEIR THEIR KIDS OR GRANDKIDS OR WHATEVER IT IS, BUT WE DO. WE THAT IS AN ISSUE, SOMETHING WE BUILD INTO OUR PROGRAM. WE DO HAVE YOUTH PERMITS FOR EACH PROPERTY. SO IF SOMEONE WANTS TO INTRODUCE A NIECE OR NEPHEW, A DAUGHTER OR A SON TO IT, THEY HAVE THAT ABILITY AND WE'VE HAD PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT. YEAH, DEFINITELY. SO IN 2021, THERE WAS ALSO YOU'VE HEARD ME TALK ABOUT THIS BEFORE. THERE'S EPIZOOTIC HEMORRHAGIC DISEASE IN THE IN THE STATE. AND BASICALLY WHAT THIS DID IS IT REALLY KILLED OFF A LOT OF DEER AND IT KILLED THEM OFF RELATIVELY QUICKLY IN THE FALL OF LATE SUMMER OR FALL OF 2021.
WE ALSO EXPERIENCED THIS ACROSS CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE TOWNSHIP PROGRAM. SO THOSE ARE SOME OF THE STATEWIDE ISSUES. BUT NOW SOME OF THE NUMBERS OVER THE LAST TEN YEARS. A QUICK QUESTION. WE'VE TAKEN 2106. OH, GO AHEAD. SORRY. I THINK GOING BACK TO THE LAST SLIDE, YOU KNOW, I AND I KNOW THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE OR YOU KNOW, I THINK OR IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE SOMETIMES LIKE IN THE MILITARY YOU HAVE LESS YOU KNOW, PEOPLE WHO ENLIST, YOU KNOW, ARE MORE PART OF LIKE YOU KNOW, THEIR FATHER, THEIR GRANDFATHERS. AND THEN THEY GET SMALLER. AND I FEEL LIKE I, YOU KNOW, I GREW UP WITH FAMILIES WHO ARE HUNTERS. BUT THEN, YOU KNOW, THIS HAPPENS. I HAVE FOUND THAT SOMETIMES IT'S IT'S NOT SO MUCH LIKE, HEY, I FIND SOMEONE, BUT SOME PEOPLE JUST MAY BE INTERESTED, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO OR HEY, LIKE, WHAT DO I BUY? OR, YOU KNOW, IS THERE LIKE, SOMEONE WHO WILL TAKE ME UNDER HER WING AND SHOW ME THE WAYS AND THEN I CAN GO ON MY OWN? HAVE WE EVER THOUGHT ABOUT. AND I THINK, YOU KNOW, I DON'T WANT TO SPEAK FOR, FOR THE WHOLE TOWNSHIP, BUT WE KNOW THIS HAS BEEN SO SUCCESSFUL IN THIS TOWNSHIP. LIKE, MAYBE WE COULD FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO, LIKE AN OPEN HOUSE OR SOMETHING, IF THAT'S SOMETHING THAT THE. YEAH, I MEAN, I'D BE HAPPY TO SIT AT ANY TABLE AND RECRUIT PEOPLE. I'VE TALKED TO PEOPLE WE ALSO HAVE AND THIS IS A RECREATIONAL THING. THEY HAVE AN ARCHERY COURSE OR AN ARCHERY THING THAT'S THAT HAPPENS OVER THE SUMMER. YEAH, WE HAD AN ARCHERY PROGRAM THIS SUMMER. IT WAS VERY POPULAR. IT SOLD OUT AND THE PARENTS WERE ALL ASKING, ARE YOU GOING TO OFFER ANOTHER SESSION? SO THAT COULD BE A WAY TO GET KIDS MORE ENGAGED IN IT? I MEAN, WE'RE SEEING THE EFFECT OF THAT MOVIE FRANCHISE WHERE SHE HAD THE BOW AND ARROW, OH, THE HUNGER GAMES, HUNGER GAMES, LIKE THE HUNGER GAMES, I DON'T KNOW. LET'S BE CAREFUL ABOUT THAT ONE. WHEN YOU'RE A FENCER, YOU NEED SOMEONE TO WALK YOU THROUGH AND SHARE THEIR EQUIPMENT, SO TO SPEAK, AND THEN YOU REALIZE, OH, I LIKE IT. YEAH, MAYBE IT COULD BE LIKE A REC PROGRAM THAT WE CAN OFFER. ARCHERY IS DEFINITELY ONE OF OUR RECREATION EFFORTS. SO FIRST OF ALL, DON'T EVER TELL MY DAUGHTER THAT I BLANKED ON THE HUNGER GAMES FOR MORE THAN A SECOND, BUT I THINK I THINK THE ISSUE REALLY LIKE WE CAN HAVE AN ARCHERY REC PROGRAM, BUT ARCHERY AND REC AND HUNTING ARE VERY DIFFERENT THINGS. EXACTLY. AND IF YOU WANT TO LIKE ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE'VE DONE IN THE PAST AND THE DIFFERENT COMMITTEE DIFFERENT TIME, I GET THAT. BUT WE WANTED TO LOWER THE MINIMUM AGE OF OF PEOPLE TO BE IN THE PROGRAM. IN NEW JERSEY, YOU CAN START GETTING YOUR HUNTING LICENSE AT TEN YEARS OLD. WHAT? AND AT TEN YEARS OLD, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BE WITH AN ADULT UNTIL YOU'RE EITHER 16, I THINK 18, ACTUALLY. SO FROM 10 TO 18. BUT WE'VE ALWAYS LIMITED IT AT 16. SO WE DON'T HAVE WE'RE MISSING SIX YEARS. THEY'RE NOT REALLY FOR DEBATE OR DISCUSSION TODAY, BUT IT IS SOMETHING THAT WE KIND OF DON'T DO. OTHER PROGRAMS DO NOT SURE THAT'S SOMETHING WE WANT TO DO. I'M HAPPY WITH THE WAY IT IS, TO BE HONEST, BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IT MIGHT BE A WAY TO INTRODUCE SOME OTHER PEOPLE. YEAH, MY DAUGHTER WOULD DESTROY ME ON AN ARCHERY RANGE, AND I'VE BEEN DOING IT A LONG TIME, AND SHE HAS NOT SO. BUT SHE'S ACTUALLY A CRACK SHOT. SHE'S REALLY GOOD AT IT. OKAY, SO BACK TO THE NUMBERS. OVER THE LAST TEN YEARS WE'VE TAKEN 2180 DEER, JUST ABOUT FOR ABOUT 217 DEER PER YEAR. LAST YEAR WE WERE UP ABOUT 20 DEER FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR, WHICH WAS FOURTH HIGHEST ON RECORD 188 OF THE 236 WE SHOT OVERALL WERE, 79% WERE ANTLERLESS, WHICH IS DOWN 10% FROM LAST YEAR. AND I'LL TALK ABOUT WHY THAT IS IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES. THE HARVEST RATE OF ANTLERLESS DEER, WHICH IS WHAT WE TARGET FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS, AVERAGED ABOUT 210 DEER PER YEAR, OR 85% OF THE TOTAL HARVEST. AND THAT'S KIND OF WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR. WE'RE LOOKING FOR THE HARVEST. ANTLERLESS DEER. AND THE PREVIOUS YEAR, WE GOT SOME OF THE SURVEYS BACK AT THE END OF THE YEAR. AND A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE REALLY TALKING A LOT ABOUT THEY WEREN'T SEEING THOSE. THEY WEREN'T SEEING THOSE, THEY WEREN'T SEEING THOSE. SO WHAT WE DID IS WE INCREASED OR WE CHANGED IN THE RESOLUTION. WE CHANGED IT FROM HAVING ONE ANTLERLESS OR TWO ANTLERLESS TO BE GRANDFATHERED ON YOUR PROPERTY. WE WENT FROM ONE ANTLERLESS AND ONE ANTLERED, AND FOR THE MOST PART WE DIDN'T SEE A HUGE INCREASE. I THOUGHT I WAS LAUREN CAN ATTEST TO THIS. I WAS LIKE, I WAS KIND OF AGAINST IT BECAUSE WE WERE IN A PROGRAM TO MANAGE DEER IN THE. AND BY SHOOTING ONE DOE, YOU'RE BASICALLY TAKING THREE DEER, MAYBE FOUR. IT DEPENDS HOW THE YEAR IS GOING. RIGHT. AND OUR NUMBER DIDN'T BLOW UP TOO BAD.IT WENT FROM LIKE BASICALLY I THINK 1,012% TO LIKE 20%, WHICH IS IN LINE WITH WHAT THE, YOU KNOW, THE THE STATE OR THE TOWNSHIP, THE PRIVATE TOWNSHIP. LOWELL TOWNSHIP AS A WHOLE. SO THAT WASN'T HORRIBLE, BUT IT COULD, YOU KNOW, WE'LL TALK ABOUT WHAT WE SAW IN A COUPLE SLIDES ABOUT HOW THAT HAS CHANGED. SO IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS, WE'VE INCREASED THE AMOUNT OF LAND IN THE PROGRAM ABOUT 60%, WHICH HAS ALLOWED US ACCESS TO DIFFERENT AREAS AND TO DIFFERENT DEER. THE LAST COUPLE YEARS WE APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED COMMUNITY BASED DEER MANAGEMENT GRANTS FROM NJDEP, AND THAT'S LARGELY IN PART TO TO LAUREN. AND ACTUALLY, WHEN I TALK TO MY FRIENDS IN DEP, THEY ALL BRAG ABOUT HOW PROFESSIONAL WE APPROACHED THE THE APPLICATION. AND LIKE, THEY HAVE NO ISSUE WITH GIVING US MONEY FOR THAT, WHICH IS GREAT.
SO IN 20 IS IT 2024 I GUESS WE CONDUCTED WE USED THE GRANT MONEY TO CONDUCT A POPULATION SURVEY. I THINK WE TALKED ABOUT THIS LAST YEAR. WE WERE GOING TO TRY AND DO THAT. SO WE DID THAT IN 2025. AND WE ALSO HAD GRANT MONEY TO PAY FOR BUTCHERING COSTS OF THE DONATED DEER. SO THESE ARE ALL THINGS THAT HELP HELP PEOPLE TAKE MORE DEER. THEORETICALLY, THE DEER

POPULATION STUDY AGAIN WAS IS FUNDED BY THE COMMUNITY BASED DEER MANAGEMENT GRANT. IT WAS CONDUCTED BY RARITAN VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES, AND IT WAS CONDUCTED IN FEBRUARY OF MARCH USING SMALL UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS. UAS EQUIPPED WITH THERMAL IMAGING CAMERAS. SO IT'S A DRONE. IT'S A DRONE. VERY TECHNICAL TERM. IT'S A DRONE. I'M SURPRISED I GOT SAID ALL THAT WITHOUT. YEAH. SO THE SURVEY CAME BACK WITH A TOTAL OF 3017 DEER ACROSS THE TOWNSHIP, WHICH WITH A DENSITY OF 93 DEER PER SQUARE MILE.JUST TO GIVE YOU SOME COMPARISON, THE LAST, SEVERAL, LAST SEVERAL SURVEYS THAT WE DID. SO IN 2001 WHEN THE PROGRAM WAS IMPLEMENTED, THERE WAS 88 DEER PER SQUARE MILE.
THE SURVEY AT THAT POINT WAS FROM AN AIRPLANE DRIVING OVER OR FLYING OVER, NOT DRIVING, BUT FLYING OVER AND COUNTING. IN 2021, WE HAD ANOTHER SURVEY DONE, A THERMAL SURVEY. WE HAD 69 DEER PER SQUARE MILE. AND THEN THIS LAST SURVEY WE HAD WAS WENT UP. AND TO BE HONEST, WE'VE HAD THREE SURVEYS FROM THREE VENDORS WITH THREE DIFFERENT SCIENTIFIC METHODS OF DOING THESE SURVEYS. BASICALLY, IF THEY TURNED ON A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT THAT WE WERE WAITING 50, TWO, 54 WEEKS FOR, IT PRETTY MUCH WOULD BECOME DAMAGED AND USELESS. AND THEN WE'D HAVE TO START THE CLOCK AGAIN. SO THAT WELL, MARK, YOU SAID THAT. WELL.

THIS IS WHERE THEY HAD DUG UP THE WHOLE AREA TO, TO PUT IN THE FOUNDATION.YOU CAN SEE HOW MUCH METAL REBAR IS JUST GOING INTO THIS. AND THIS IS JUST FOR THE FOUNDATION SLAB. WOW. THIS IS AS THEY MOVE THROUGH THIS, THEY STARTED GOING VERTICAL WITH IT.

SO NOW BECAUSE WE HAVE THE FLOOD WALL, WE ALSO HAVE TO HAVE TWO PUMP STATIONS WITHIN THERE. WHEN THE PLANT OPERATES, WHETHER IT'S DISCHARGING TREATED EFFLUENT OR, YOU KNOW, ANY RAINWATER THAT FALLS IN, IT'LL STILL CONTINUE TO FLOW OUT NORMALLY. THE END RESULT WERE, YOU KNOW, WE HAD. THE ORIGINAL DESIGN WAS ABOUT A MILE COLLECTIVELY OF THESE THINGS UNDERGROUND, AND WE'RE NOW UP TO ABOUT A MILE AND A HALF. GOTCHA. SO THE INSTALLATION IS DONE. THEY HAD TO CONTINUE IN ORDER TO GET THESE INTO THE GROUND. THESE ARE WHAT KEEP THE WALLS STABLE FROM THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS I MENTIONED. MOST OF THE TIME A CONTRACTOR WILL NEGOTIATE FOR AN INCREASE.
IN THIS CASE, WE ACTUALLY GOT THEM TO HOLD THE PRICE UP TO THAT 120%, AND THEY UNDERSTOOD THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO REMOBILIZE THIS CONTRACTOR AS LONG AS THEY KEPT WORKING AND THEY WERE ABLE TO CUT THEIR OPERATION AND PROFIT MARGINS DOWN A LITTLE BIT TO HELP THE TOWNSHIP OUT, BECAUSE EVEN THEY UNDERSTOOD THIS WAS UNFORESEEN. SO IT WAS ADDITIONAL 710 ABOUT 715, IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN. OKAY. AND THIS IS THE ONE THAT WE WERE THE STAFF WAS ABLE TO GET A GRANT, ALSO $1 MILLION. YEAH, I WAS GOING TO TOUCH ON THAT LATER. THAT'S ALL WE WERE ABLE TO GET. SO BETWEEN CHRIS, MYSELF, THE OEM OFFICE AND MILLENNIUM STRATEGIES, WHO'S BEEN HELPING US THROUGH THIS, WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH THEM SINCE THIS HAPPENED. SO IT'S BEEN ABOUT A THREE AND A HALF YEAR PROCESS. AS YOU KNOW, A COUPLE MONTHS AGO, THEY ACTUALLY FINALLY OBLIGATED US A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY. I THINK IT WAS 1.13, $2 MILLION.
