AND THAT SALARY AND WAGE LINE ITEM TO DO TO DO SO. AND SO IT'S THIS IS MORE OF A PREEMPTIVE MEASURE TO SO THAT WE CAN CONTINUE TO PROCESS IN A TIMELY FASHION. AND WE'VE WORKED WITH TNM BEFORE. YES. RESOLUTION #24-10-366 – Payment of Bills – Posted] [00:10:04] FOR CONSIDERATION. RESOLUTION NUMBER 24, DASH TEN, DASH 366. PAYMENT OF BILLS POSTED. OH. I'M SORRY. NO, NO. THAT'S FINE. THE THREE LARGEST BILLS ON THE BILL LIST PAGE ONE. THE CENTRAL JERSEY HEALTH INSURANCE FUND FOR NOVEMBER. HEALTH INSURANCE, $145,903. PAGE TWO. SENDING THE MONTGOMERY BOARD OF EDUCATION SCHOOL TAXES $7,239,768. AND PAGE SEVEN. ALLIED CONSTRUCTION, WHICH IS THE CONTRACTOR DOING STAGE TWO FLOOD WALL AND UPGRADES TO THE SEWER PLANT THERE, $1,038,789.69. OKAY. I HAVE JUST TWO QUESTIONS. SO THE IT'S ABOUT HALFWAY DOWN THE FIRST PAGE. THIS IS FOR HILLSBOROUGH PARK LLC EQUIPMENT STORAGE RENTAL. IS THAT IS THAT STILL PUBLIC WORKS THAT WE'RE RENTING SPACE FROM? YES. DO WE PAY THEM MONTHLY FOR THAT? COULD YOU IN A FUTURE MEETING, CAN YOU JUST GIVE US LIKE AN UPDATE OF, LIKE HOW MUCH? SURE. HOW MUCH PAGE WAS THAT ON? I'M SORRY. IT'S THE FIRST PAGE IT'S ABOUT, I DON'T KNOW, 15 OR 20 OF THEM DOWN. IT SAYS HILLSBOROUGH PARK. YEP. GOT IT. YEAH. BECAUSE LIKE, WE HAD A REPORT A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO ABOUT HOW MUCH WE WERE SPENDING FOR PUBLIC WORKS, AND THAT MAKES SENSE. AND THEN THERE'S ONE THIS KOA UNITS FOR 15,353 TO MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP. YES. THAT IS RELATES TO THE HOUSING TRUST AND UNITS FOR THE I THINK SEWER SEWER BILLS FOR THE TAX SALE. SO IT'S WORKING WITH THOSE RESIDENTS ON THE TO KEEP THEM IN THE KEEP THEM ON THE AS AS AFFORDABLE UNITS. SO AFFORDABILITY ASSISTANCE ALMOST. SO WE'RE THE VENDOR AND THE RECIPIENT OF THE MONEY. WE ARE BECAUSE THE PROPERTIES WERE GOING TO BE SUBJECT TO TAX SALE. OKAY. WE ARE WORKING WITH THEM. SO IT'S A PAYMENT TO OUR TO OURSELVES. OKAY. OKAY. THANK YOU. THAT'S MY ONLY QUESTION. OKAY. MAY I HAVE A MOTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NUMBER 24. DASH TEN. DASH 366. SO MOVED. SECOND. ROLL CALL PLEASE. COMMITTEE MEMBER ON. YES. COMMITTEE MEMBER. TAYLOR. TODD. YES. COMMITTEE MEMBER. KEENAN. YES. MAYOR SINGH. YES. CORRESPONDENTS. THERE IS NO [13. NEW BUSINESS AND OLD BUSINESS ] CORRESPONDENCE. NEW BUSINESS AND OLD BUSINESS REQUEST BY AMERICAN RED CROSS FOR USE OF THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL CHAMBERS FOR A BLOOD DRIVE EVENT SATURDAY, JUNE 14TH, 2025, FROM 9 A.M. TO 2 P.M. SO BACK IN SEPTEMBER THIS YEAR, WE, THE AMERICAN RED CROSS AND A NONPROFIT HELD A BLOOD DRIVE EVENT. AND THEY ARE SEEKING TO DO THE SAME IN 2025. OKAY. I DID ACTUALLY A GOOD JOB BECAUSE THEY WERE ABLE TO. JUST FOR CLARIFICATION, OUR BOARD OF HEALTH WAS ALSO A CO-SPONSOR. YES, THAT'S A GOOD THAT'S A GOOD POINT. YEAH, IT WAS THE BOARD OF HEALTH AS WELL. OKAY. SO WOULD THE BOARD OF HEALTH ALSO BE PART OF THE JUNE EVENT? YES. OKAY. SO MAYBE WE NEED TO JUST CHANGE. YEAH. MAYBE WE NEED TO AMEND THAT. YEAH. ONCE WE AMERICAN RED CROSS. YEAH, THAT'S A GOOD POINT. VERY WELL SAID. YEAH. OUR BOARD OF HEALTH WAS. ARE THERE ANY OBJECTIONS? NO. HOPEFULLY MORE PEOPLE CAN COME AND DONATE. YEAH, ACTUALLY WE DID HAVE A GOOD SHOWING. BUT YES, I THINK MORE PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE LOW ON BLOOD. REQUEST BY MONTGOMERY. FRIENDS OF OPEN SPACE. MARK. FARMERS MARKET FOR USE OF TOWNSHIP COUNCIL CHAMBERS FOR FARMER'S MARKET. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14TH. OKAY, SO THE MONTGOMERY FARMER'S MARKET HAS A CONFLICT, I BELIEVE, WITH THE LIBRARY MEETING ROOM FOR ONE OF THE DECEMBER MARKETS AND IS REQUESTING USE OF THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, AND THEY HAD NOT BOOKED AT THE LIBRARY. THEY I BELIEVE THE EMAIL FROM LAURETTE SAID THAT THEY WERE BOOKED AND THERE WAS A CONFLICT NOW. YEAH, I THINK THERE'S A LIBRARY CONFLICT OR A CONFLICT WITH THE LIBRARY. THE LIBRARY'S SOMEBODY ALREADY BOOKED THE LIBRARY FOR THAT TIME. I THINK THAT THEY NEED TO PREEMPT THESE SCHEDULES, YOU KNOW, AND HAVE THEM ALL SET, LIKE, YOU KNOW, AT LEAST SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE SO THAT IT DOESN'T OVERLAP. LIKE THIS. YEAH. MY ONLY CONCERN IS IF WE OPEN IT UP TO I MEAN, IT IS PART OF IF YOU OPEN IT TO THEM, THEN IT'S BASICALLY BECAUSE THEY ARE A TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE. AM I RIGHT? RIGHT. THEY'RE THEY'RE PART OF THE UNDER THE EDC. SO IF YOU KNOW, I THINK I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE I MEAN WE'RE OPENING IT UP FOR OUR BLOOD DRIVE AS WELL. SO YOU KNOW WHICH WE ARE DOING WITH THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT THOUGH. RIGHT. AND THE EDC WOULD BE PART OF THAT AS WELL. OH, SO THE EDC WILL CO-SPONSOR TO MAKE [00:15:02] IT COPACETIC. YES. YEAH. I GUESS IF EDC IS PART OF IT THEN IT SHOULD BE. THEN IT SHOULD BE OKAY. YEAH. JUST AS A REMINDER, THERE'S NO POLICY THAT HAS BEEN SET FOR OUTSIDE ENTITIES TO USE THIS THIS PARTICULAR ROOM. SO IT WOULD REQUIRE ONE OF THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEES TO AND COMMITTEES WITH THE LLC TO BE PART OF THAT EFFORT. IT WOULDN'T JUST BE A STANDALONE NONPROFIT USE. THAT'S A VERY GOOD POINT. YES. AND FOR RESIDENTS TO KNOW AS WELL THAT IT'S BETTER TO GET THE LIBRARY COMMUNITY ROOM BECAUSE THE CHAMBERS WOULD BE FOR TOWNSHIP COMMITTEES. RIGHT. SO I'LL NOTIFY THE EDC THAT THEY THIS IS A EDC DRIVEN THING THAT WE NEED TO DO. OKAY. NO OBJECTIONS TO OKAY. AND THEN THERE IS A REQUEST BY STONEBRIDGE AT MONTGOMERY FOR THE RELOCATION OF THE NJ TRANSIT BUS ROUTE 605 BUS STOP, NUMBER 28 294 US 206. I DO WANT TO MENTION THAT STONEBRIDGE DID INVITE ME AND LORI WENT WITH ME. REALLY NICE GROUP. IT WAS A GENTLEMAN'S LUNCH AND THEY'RE VERY APPRECIATIVE OF ALL THE WORK. THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE IS DOING, AND IT WAS A GOOD WAY TO MEET THE RESIDENTS AND HEAR THEIR CONCERNS. I THINK THERE WAS ONE CONCERN THEY HAD ABOUT A BIG POTHOLE, WHICH I BELIEVE LORI GOT TAKEN CARE OF, THAT I GUESS AT THE CORNER OF AND THEN OF COURSE, THERE WAS SOME CONCERN ABOUT THAT HOUSE, WHICH IS THE BLUE ACRES AND I BELIEVE A COMMITTEE WOMAN, KEENAN, THAT THAT HAS BEEN TAKEN. THAT'S ALL ALL DONE. THANKS. THANKS TO YOUR EFFORTS THERE. WELL, THE STATE'S BUYING IT. IT'S ALL DONE. OKAY, OKAY OKAY OKAY. SO WELL THE IT'S IN THE PROCESS. HOW ABOUT THAT. RIGHT. SO THAT'S A GOOD POINT THAT THAT WAS THEIR CONCERN AS WELL. AND THEN OF COURSE THEY HAVE THIS CONCERN THAT IT'S HARD FOR THEM TO GET WORKFORCE TO COME IN BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A BUS STOP. AND, YOU KNOW, THEY'RE LOOKING FOR WORKERS, BUT THAT'S THAT'S A CONCERN. SO I'M GOING TO, YOU KNOW, LORI, IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT HOW I THINK THERE WAS SOME EFFORT BEFOREHAND, YOU SAID, I THINK, I THINK THAT THE TOWNSHIP WOULD SUPPORT ANY EXPANSION OF PUBLIC TRANSIT. I THINK THIS HAS BEEN BROACHED PRIOR BY BOTH STONEBRIDGE RESIDENTS AND I THINK MONTGOMERY PROMENADE HAD REQUESTED IT. AND THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN ANOTHER REQUEST. SO THE TRANSIT HAS JUST SAID THAT THE LENGTH OF THE LINE, THE 605 LINE, IS ALREADY PRETTY MUCH AT ITS PEAK, THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT. SO IF YOU WENT FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END OR ANY PERIOD OF TIME, THERE'S A LENGTH OF TIME THAT THE ROUTE RUNS. SO THEY WERE HESITANT IN THE TIMES THAT THEY HAVE BEEN REQUESTED TO EXTEND IT EVEN INTO, LET'S SAY, MONTGOMERY PROMENADE. WE WERE TRYING TO GET THEM TO COME INTO THE CIRCLE OF THE SHOPPING CENTER. AND ACTUALLY, I THINK A FORMER DOT COMMISSIONER LIVED IN STONEBRIDGE AND HAD AND HE COULDN'T GET IT DONE AND GET IT. OKAY. SO WE HAD TALKED AT STONEBRIDGE JUST ABOUT THAT. OUR ADVOCATING TO SOMERSET COUNTY ABOUT TRYING TO GET SOME OF THEIR PUBLIC TRANSIT DOWN INTO MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP AND THAT THE DIFFICULTY BUT THAT WE WOULD WE WOULD SUPPORT ANY EXPANSION OF THE SERVICE. ANY ANYONE WILLING TO USE THE 605 BUS LINE. WE WANT THEM USING IT BECAUSE THAT'S HOW WE GET OUR PUBLIC TRANSIT TO REMAIN OPERATIONAL. RIGHT? RIGHT. PEOPLE USING IT. SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT SUPPORT THEY MIGHT NEED FROM US IF THEY WANT US TO SEND A LETTER, WE CAN SEND A LETTER, BUT I THINK WE AT THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE DEFINITELY SHOULD LOOK INTO SENDING SOMETHING TO SOMERSET COUNTY AND EXPLAINING THAT THIS IS A CONCERN. AND IF THEY CAN HELP US BECAUSE I. 605 IS STILL COMING OUT OF MERCER COUNTY AND IT FINISHES AT A CERTAIN POINT. SO BETWEEN HERE TO, I GUESS TO THE CIRCLE OR WHEREVER PEOPLE WANT TO GO, SOMERVILLE CIRCLE, THAT WOULD BE GOOD TO HAVE COUNTY WORK WITH US. SO MAYBE THAT'S SOMETHING WE AT THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE WILL PUT THAT AS A PRIORITY AND MAYBE COME UP WITH A WAY TO REACH OUT TO THEM AND BRING UP THE CONCERN OF STONEBRIDGE. OKAY. WHO MAKES THE FINAL DECISION? IS THE STATE. IT'S A STATE ISSUE, CORRECT? YES. NJ TRANSIT WOULD MAKE THAT DECISION. SO WE CAN ALSO ENCOURAGE ALL THE FOLKS THAT LIVE THERE TO WRITE TO THEM. AND THEN AND IF WE'RE ABLE TO GET IT, AND WE COULD ALSO ENCOURAGE THROUGH THE NEW APARTMENTS THAT ARE BEING BUILT TO PROMOTE THE JOBS THAT ARE AVAILABLE AT STONEBRIDGE, BECAUSE THAT WOULD TECHNICALLY BE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. OH, FROM SOMERSET, THAT IS TRUE. YEAH. THEY THEY REALLY FROM THE HOUSING. SO YEAH, THEY'RE DEFINITELY BECAUSE THEY MENTIONED NOT JUST ABOUT THE RESIDENTS USING IT BUT BUT HAVING EASY ACCESS FOR LABOR FORCE TO BE ABLE TO TAKE PUBLIC [00:20:04] TRANSIT TO THE, TO THE, THE PROPERTY. AND THEY DID MENTION THAT THEY WERE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE LABOR FORCE, THAT THAT THEIR CONCERN WAS COMING ALL THE WAY DOWN HERE. WHEN THERE IS NO NOWHERE FOR THEM TO GET OFF A BUS STOP. YEAH. ARE THERE ANY FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS ON THIS, LIKE IN TERMS OF, I MEAN, FOR A NONPROFIT THAT DOESN'T PAY ANY TAXES, MAYBE THEY COULD PUT IN A SIDEWALK TO IS THERE ANY WAY WE COULD DO THAT? THEY DON'T PAY PROPERTY TAXES, SO MAYBE WE COULD ENTICE THEM TO DO AT LEAST SOME OF THE STUFF AS WE MOVE THAT. YEAH, RIGHT. WHY NOT? I MEAN, THEY'RE A GOOD, GOOD MONEY MAKING NONPROFIT. YEAH. THEY DON'T PAY TAXES HERE. SO I THINK THEY THEY HAVE A AVENUES AS A NONPROFIT TO DO THAT AS WELL. SO PERHAPS WE CAN WORK ON PART OF IT. YEAH. LIKE A COLLABORATION WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA. NOT PUT IT ON THE TAXPAYERS. YEAH OKAY. THAT'S I GUESS IT HAS A LITTLE A FEW BRANCHES THAT WE CAN WORK ON. OKAY. TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE [14. TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE REPORTS] REPORTS. SO NOTHING FOR MY COMMITTEES, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO, YOU KNOW, CONGRATULATE EVERYBODY FOR THE HARD EFFORTS OF THE ALL INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND THAT WE JUST HAD A GRAND, GRAND OPENING OR GROUNDBREAKING ON, YOU KNOW, THE PARKS AND REC DEPARTMENT, THE, THE, THE RECS COMMITTEE, YOU KNOW, PREVIOUS COMMITTEE PEOPLE. CATHERINE GRALL AND YOU KNOW, OUR TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE, CURRENT TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEMBERS. I THINK IT'S A IT'S AN AMAZING, AMAZING THING FOR OUR TOWN. AND THANK YOU, EVERYBODY FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN. OKAY, I ALSO DON'T HAVE ANY BUSINESS REPORTS FROM MY COMMITTEES, BUT I DO WANT TO EXPRESS ON BEHALF OF SOME OF THE COMMITTEES THAT I HAVE LIAISON RELATIONSHIP WITH AND NAMELY INCLUSION, EQUITY AND MUNICIPAL ALLIANCE. HOW EXCITED WE ARE ABOUT THE GROUNDBREAKING OF THE INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND. AND IT WAS JUST A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO COME TOGETHER, YOU KNOW, SORT OF MID-WEEK, IMPROMPTU CELEBRATE SOMETHING AMAZING THAT IS GOING TO REALLY HELP TO CONTINUE TO BUILD UP OUR TOWN AND ALSO JUST HAVE SOME COOKIES AND SOME JUICE. RIGHT. THANK YOU. I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING, BUT LET'S GET THAT THING BUILT. YES, I DO AGREE. I THINK I TOUCHED ON GOING TO STONEBRIDGE, WHICH I THINK WAS A GOOD EVENT AND APPRECIATE ALL THE ALL THE RESIDENTS MAKING SURE THAT THEY ALL CAME AND SAT THROUGH THE PRESENTATION THAT WE HAD. AND AGAIN, IT'S REALLY GREAT ABOUT THE GROUNDBREAKING AS COMMITTEE PEOPLE HAVE SAID THAT THAT'S AT THE RECREATION COMMITTEE. OUR MEETING IS ON THE 22ND. WE'LL BE GOING OVER WHAT WE NEED TO DO WHERE WE ARE AS FAR AS THE INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND IS CONCERNED AND ALSO SOME OF THE CONCERNS THAT WE HAVE WITH WITH TENNIS COURTS AT THE MOMENT, WHICH I THINK IS FURTHER IN IN THIS AGENDA AND WE'LL WE'LL TALK ABOUT IT. BUT THAT'S, THAT'S ABOUT IT. I THINK IT'S, IT'S BEEN GOOD. AND OF COURSE TODAY WE DID GET, AS EVERYBODY KNOWS, THAT THIS IS THE MONTH OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. AND OUR PD AND ESPECIALLY OUR CHIEF OF POLICE, SYLVIA. CAPTAIN. SORRY, CAPTAIN SYLVIA BETH HAS WORKED WITH HUNTERDON HEALTH, AND WE HAVE A PINK CARD THAT A FEW PEOPLE HAVE ASKED ME. IF, YOU KNOW, IT'S A BARBIE CELEBRATION. I GUESS THEY COULDN'T READ WHAT IT SAID, BUT YES, THAT'S FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS. AND TODAY THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE HAD A CHANCE TO, YOU KNOW, LOOK AT THE CAR AND TAKE SOME PICTURES WITH THE CAR. SO, YOU KNOW, AGAIN, WE WANT TO REMIND EVERYBODY THAT, YOU KNOW, GETTING CHECKED IS A VERY, VERY IMPORTANT PART OF BEING HEALTHY. AND BREAST CANCER AWARENESS IS, IS THE MONTH OF OCTOBER. SO JUST REMINDING RESIDENTS AND THAT'S IT FOR ME. [15. ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT ] AND WE'LL GO ON TO THE ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT. WELL, AS YOU KNOW, WE'VE TALKED OVER THE PAST YEAR OR SO THAT WE HEAR FROM RESIDENTS OURSELVES. WE EXPERIENCE IT POOR CELL SERVICE IN MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP. SO THE CELL TOWER, THAT WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS TOWER THAT WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON HERE IS ONE STEP CLOSER TO FRUITION. THEY WERE AT THE PLANNING BOARD AND RECEIVED APPROVAL FOR THE TOWER, WHICH WILL HOPEFULLY HAVE A SPRING 2025 CONSTRUCTION. THEY'LL INCLUDE VERIZON AND EMERGENCY SERVICES AND THEN ADDITIONAL CARRIERS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY. SO WE'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THAT. AND I KNOW THE RESIDENTS ARE VERY EXCITED AS WELL. THERE'S A MONTGOMERY SHOPPING CENTER, WHICH IS ANCHORED BY SHOPRITE. THEY ARE APPEARING BEFORE THE PLANNING BOARD ON NOVEMBER 25TH AT 7 P.M. TO PRESENT PLANS FOR A BUILDING FACADE UPGRADE AND SIGNAGE. SO I THINK THEY RECOGNIZE THAT THERE'S COMPETITION IN THE AREA NOW AND THEY WOULD LIKE TO OVERALL KIND OF IMPROVE IT. I THINK IT WILL BE A BIG IMPROVEMENT AND ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO VISIT MONTGOMERY CINEMAS, WHICH I DID NOT KNOW HAS BEEN IN TOWN SINCE 1973, AND IT DOES BRING VISITORS FROM ALL ACROSS OUR REGION TO MONTGOMERY [00:25:08] TOWNSHIP, BECAUSE OFTEN PEOPLE WILL KNOW WHEN I SAY I WORK IN MONTGOMERY, THEY'LL KNOW, OH, THE CINEMA, I'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE, YOU KNOW. SO IT'S QUITE A LITTLE TREASURE THAT WE HAVE. WE HAVE TWO, FOUR EV CHARGING STATIONS. THERE ARE TWO DUAL PORT THERE, CHARGEPOINT LEVEL TWOS. THEY'RE COMING IN THE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER. SO WHEN YOU FACE THE BUILDING ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE, THOSE LAST FOUR PARKING SPACES RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE LIBRARY. AND SO RICH DIETRICH, WHO IS OUR BUILDING'S FOREMAN, HAS BEEN COORDINATING ALL OF THAT WORK WITH THE CONTRACTOR. CAN I ASK A QUESTION ABOUT THAT ONE? BECAUSE I KNOW WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE UP A LOT OF THE NATIVE PLANTS THAT ARE THERE. THE TREE, IS THAT BEING MOVED OR. I'M NOT SURE THAT THAT WILL BE IMPACTED. I THINK THEY'RE ABLE TO WORK AROUND THE TREE. I CAN DOUBLE CHECK THAT WE DIDN'T WANT TO MOVE, THAT IF WE DON'T HAVE TO. AT THIS TIME OF YEAR, OUR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN REACHING OUT TO THERE'S 165 ENTITIES THAT OWN ABOUT 300 STORMWATER TYPE FACILITIES. THEY MAY NOT BE AS BIG AS THE STORMWATER BASIN, BUT SOME ARE. THEY MAY BE SWALES OR OTHER OTHER MEASURES THAT THEY HAVE ON THEIR PRIVATE PROPERTY. AND THE TOWNSHIP GATHERS REPORTING FROM THEM AND SUBMITS IT TO THE DEP, BECAUSE THE DEP WANTS TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYBODY WHO IS MAINTAINING THESE OR MAINTAINING THEM PROPERLY AND SO I DO GIVE SOME KUDOS TO OUR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. MARK HERMAN, OUR TOWNSHIP ENGINEER. HE TOOK THE OVERLY COMPLICATED DEP FORMS AND CREATED FILLABLE, EASY TO USE FORMS TO MAKE IT VERY EASY FOR WHETHER YOU'RE A HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION OR A PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNER OR A BUSINESS TO FILL EVERYTHING OUT, TO UPLOAD PHOTOS RIGHT THERE INTO THE DOCUMENT. IT'S ALL AVAILABLE THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. SO THAT WAS A BIG PROJECT THAT THEY TOOK ON. THEY WORKED WITH, I BELIEVE, TAMMY GROFF, OUR COMMUNITY INFORMATION OFFICER, TO CREATE THE FORMS. AND THAT'S THAT'S GREAT. SO HE'S STARTING TO SEE THE FRUITS AND HEARING GOOD FEEDBACK FROM PEOPLE. SO BUT WE'RE ENCOURAGING REPORTING IS TO BE DONE BY DECEMBER 31ST. SO WE'RE IN THAT PERIOD OF TIME, YOU KNOW, RIGHT NOW. AND I WILL PASS IT OVER TO WENDY FOR A LITTLE UPDATE ON THE TENNIS COURTS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. GREAT. SO FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC WHO HAS BEEN REACHING OUT, YOU ARE BEING HEARD. THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE AND THE STAFF HAS BEEN REACHING OUT TO THEIR COUNTERPARTS AT THE BOARD OF EDUCATION IN ORDER TO HAVE THOSE TENNIS COURTS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL REOPENED FOR THE TAXPAYING PUBLIC FOR AT LEAST THE VERY LEAST, WHEN THE TENNIS SEASON IS NOT USING THEM AT THE HIGH SCHOOL TO DATE. UNFORTUNATELY, WE DON'T HAVE ANY FRUITS TO THE LABOR YET TO SHOW TO THE PUBLIC. WE DON'T HAVE AN AGREEMENT IN PLACE FROM THE BOARD OF ED. WE HAVEN'T GIVEN UP. WE'RE STILL WORKING ON THAT AND IDEALLY WE'LL GET TO SOME RESOLUTION TO WHERE WE CAN AT THE VERY LEAST ASSIST THE BOARD OF ED IN THEIR COMFORT LEVEL IN REOPENING THOSE COURTS TO THE PUBLIC. MAY I ASK A QUESTION? WE'RE NOT LOOKING FOR? SURE. I MEAN, THAT'S A WE DON'T HAVE STAFF OR ANYBODY USING THOSE. NO, THAT'S THAT THAT IS TRUE. CORRECT. SO THIS IS I MEAN, WE ARE A SEPARATE AND DISTINCT FROM OUR. YEAH. NO, I THINK I WANT TO TALK A LITTLE BIT ON THAT, THAT WE ARE JUST ADVOCATING FOR OUR PUBLIC. WE DON'T HAVE ANYBODY DOING LESSONS THERE. IT'S JUST YEAH, WITH RESIDENTS ARE ASKING US AND I DID WRITE A LETTER TO THE SUPERINTENDENT AND THE SCHOOL BOARD PRESIDENT AND AT THIS POINT, WHAT WE HAVE HEARD IS THAT THEY'RE WORKING ON THEIR END, BUT WE ENCOURAGE RESIDENTS TO REACH OUT TO THE SCHOOL BOARD FOR. CORRECT. SO THAT IT'S A BIG DIFFERENCE. AND I'M GLAD YOU NOTED THAT BETWEEN, LET'S SAY, THE POOL OR THE MIDDLE SCHOOL COURTS, BECAUSE IN THOSE FACILITIES, THE TOWNSHIP HAS SHARED SERVICES, BECAUSE WE ALSO UTILIZE THEM FOR TOWNSHIP SERVICES. THE HIGH SCHOOL COURTS ARE NOT USED BY ANY OF THE TOWNSHIP PROGRAMS. SO IT PRESENTS A LITTLE BIT OF A DIFFERENT SITUATION WHERE WE'RE NOT GOING TO LOOK FOR A SHARED SERVICE TO SEND ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE USE FOR TOWNSHIP PROGRAMS, BECAUSE THE TOWNSHIP PROGRAMS AREN'T UTILIZING THEM. BUT WE ARE TRYING TO ADVOCATE. AND WHEN I SAY ASSIST IS TO FIND WAYS TO ALLAY THEIR FEARS OF VANDALISM OR THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED THERE OF PERHAPS COMING UP WITH SOLUTIONS THAT THE BOARD OF ED COULD CONSIDER TO GIVE THEM A COMFORT LEVEL IN ORDER TO REOPEN ■THESE COURTS TO THE PUBLIC. THAT'S VERY WELL SAID. YES, AND WE ARE WILLING TO HELP WITH THAT PART. BUT YES, WE WILL NOT BE USING THEM. SO THAT'S, THAT'S THE GOOD POINT. SO SHOULD WE BE ENCOURAGING THEM TO REACH OUT DIRECTLY. AND BECAUSE WE DON'T MAKE THOSE DECISIONS. ABSOLUTELY. SO I THINK THAT'S TRUE. THE JURISDICTION IS THE SCHOOL BOARD. AND YOU'D SCHOOL, WHICH IS ON A TUESDAY TWICE A MONTH. YEAH, TUESDAYS, TWICE A MONTH. AND AGAIN WE ARE AT THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE. WE ARE [00:30:08] DEFINITELY ADVOCATING FOR OUR RESIDENTS. BUT THAT JURISDICTION STILL FALLS UNDER THE SCHOOL BOARD. SO AND THE OTHER ONE QUICK THING I WANTED TO. LORI, ARE YOU DONE? YES. OH, OKAY. I JUST WANTED TO QUICKLY ALSO MENTION THAT WE DID HAVE WE DID HOST THE LOWER MILLSTONE WATERSHED WORKING GROUP HERE AND THAT WAS VERY WELL ATTENDED. AND WE OF COURSE HAD OUR ADMINISTRATOR, COMMITTEEWOMAN KEENAN. WE HAD OUR ENGINEER AND PEOPLE FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION HERE. THERE WAS A VERY GOOD DISCUSSION. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU WANTED TO ADD ANYTHING TO THAT COMMITTEE. YES. WE'VE BEEN PARTNERING WITH THE WATERSHED. SO FIRST, THIS KIND OF STARTED AT THE COUNTY LEVEL, AND THEN COUNTY WAS KIND OF LIKE, I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S THIS LEVEL BECAUSE WE WANT TO, YOU KNOW, FLOODING IS AN ISSUE AND WATER DOESN'T LIKE DEER. AND MANY OF THE OTHER THINGS, THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES. SO I WOULD IN DISCUSSION ACTUALLY WITH THE WATERSHED A COUPLE FOR A WHILE TO TALK ABOUT IT FROM A WATERSHED PERSPECTIVE. AND SO THEY SAID, WELL, IF SOMEBODY WILL HOST IT, WE CAN BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER LIKE MONTGOMERY'S IN. SO WHERE DO WE GO FROM THERE? IS IT WAS LOOKING AT IT THE SUBWATERSHED LEVEL? IT DOESN'T MAKE A LOT OF SENSE TO YOU UNLESS YOU REALLY KNOW ABOUT WATERSHEDS. BUT REALLY PARTNERING WITH THERE'S 13 OTHER MUNICIPALITIES. WE'RE ALL IN. WE'RE 100% IN THERE. SOME OF THEM JUST KIND OF TOUCH IT. BUT TO SO THERE WERE MUNICIPAL THERE WERE SOME FOLKS FROM MANVILLE, THEY HAD SOME ELECTED OFFICIALS THERE, AND THERE WAS A LOT OF THERE WERE FOLKS FROM PRINCETON AS WELL. SO IT WAS IT WAS REALLY A GREAT CONVERSATION. AND WE'RE GOING TO HAVE MORE BECAUSE WE WANT TO ADDRESS IT AT THE STATE LEVEL AND ALSO LOOK FOR SOME FUNDING TO DO SOME THINGS AS A REGIONAL PERSPECTIVE, BECAUSE I THINK THAT'S REALLY THE WAY TO HANDLE THIS STUFF. OTHERWISE, THERE'S A LOT OF REPORTING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. IT'S GOING TO BE UNBELIEVABLY EXPENSIVE FOR ALL OF US AS INDIVIDUAL MUNICIPALITIES TO DEAL WITH THIS STUFF. AND FRANKLY, YOU KNOW WHAT? IT DOESN'T IT REALLY DOES NEED TO BE DONE ON A MUCH WIDER BASIS FOR IT TO HAVE ANY REAL EFFECT. SO IT'S A MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE WAY TO DO IT AND PROBABLY GOING TO BE MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE. SO NO, I DO AGREE. AND IT WAS IT WAS A GREAT CONVERSATION WITH EVERYBODY AND EVERYBODY'S ATTENTION FOR TWO HOURS. I MEAN, THEY DID A REALLY GOOD PRESENTATION. I JUST WANTED TO ASK LORI IF WE COULD HAVE AT THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE LEVEL, BECAUSE THERE IS ALL THESE REGULATIONS FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT THAT WE HAVE TO DO. I UNDERSTAND, AND I WAS TALKING TO THE DEPUTY MAYOR WHILE HE'S NOT HERE TODAY, BUT THAT IF WE COULD HAVE MORE OF A DETAIL AS TO WHAT THE STATE IS REQUIRING US TO DO, OR WE HAVE TO DO SO, WE ALL ON THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE ARE AWARE OF WHAT WE NEED TO DO AND WHAT WHAT IS COMING UP. SO MAYBE IN A FUTURE MEETING, IF WE COULD HAVE A PRESENTATION FOR ALL OF US TO JUST CATCH UP. OKAY. THANK YOU SO MUCH. THERE'S A LOT TO. OKAY. YEAH, I KNOW, I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN. YEAH. COMMITTEEMAN ON COMMITTEE. WOMAN. TODD. AND THE DEPUTY MAYOR ALSO WAS NOT BECAUSE WE ATTENDED THE MEETING. HE WAS LIKE, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS WHAT IS OUR OBLIGATION TO THE STATE. SO WHAT WHAT THAT IS. SO IF THERE'S A PRESENTATION. SO WE ARE ALL ON [16. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS ] THE SAME PAGE AS THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE. OKAY. PERFECT. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS. UPCOMING TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETINGS NOVEMBER 14TH, DECEMBER 5TH AND DECEMBER 19TH. OKAY. THERE IS NO MATTERS FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION. I THINK THERE'S A BIG SIGH OF RELIEF HERE. ADJOURNMENT. MAY I HAVE A MOTION TO ADJOURN? SO MOVED SECOND.
